Heart Foundation-funded researcher, Dr Katherine Livingstone from Deakin University is developing Veg4Me. It is a web-based app that aims to boost vegetable intake in young adults living in rural Victoria.
About Veg4Me App
Formative research with young adults and local governments co-designed Veg4Me, a state-of-the-art intervention that can be personalised to address unique barriers to vegetable intake experienced by young adults living in rural areas.
Why the app is being delivered in two different versions? It’s part of the research design. The research team is interested in whether personalised support is more effective than generalised support in improving diets in young adults. The team expects that young adults with access to the personalised version of Veg4Me will be able to increase their vegetable intake more than young adults with access to a non-personalised version of Veg4Me.
The Veg4Me research team is keen for young people aged 18-35 years, living in the Loddon Campaspe and Colac Otway areas of Victoria to take part in a new study to test the Veg4Me web app.
