Kayo Sports promised to be a “groundbreaking multi-sport streaming service designed for sports-loving Australians.”
My husband was happy when I initially signed up for Kayo. It was going to be his birthday and Christmas present.
However, after a couple of days of use, we cancelled our free trial.

Kayo Sports CEO Comments
Julian Ogrin, Kayo Sports CEO, said: “Kayo will provide a new way for Australians to experience sport, with the biggest Aussie sports and the best from overseas, plus game-changing features.
“Kayo is for people who just want sport, streamed on their terms. They want to watch what they want, when they want, how they want.”
“So we threw out the rulebook and built a service that gives fans exactly that: only sports streamed, a simple sign-up process, and a personalised experience.”
“We launched Kayo earlier this month in Beta form to test the service with real customers, in real conditions. We have a customer-centric mentality, and this has allowed us to listen to their feedback and use these insights to continually enhance the product.”
“Kayo has been made for Aussie sports fans, and we can’t wait for them to jump in and try it for themselves.”

Kayo Sports Review
My husband was able to add English football, American National Football League (NFL), cricket, golf, and the Brisbane Lions to his account profile. While I could add the tennis, Lions and the Dolphins to my account profile.
Pros
- Great range of Australian sports
- You can stream sports on a tablet, mobile, laptop or television
- No lock-in contract, and you can cancel anytime
Cons
- The initial offer was the first month free, but after I signed up I realised I only received 7 days free.
- Limited range of sports documentaries
- The instructions to cancel my free trial were ambiguous.
Kayo Sports is available on Australia’s newest streaming technology Hubbl. Hubbl is a compact device that plugs directly into your existing TV via HDMI and fuses your streaming and free-to-air TV into a seamless viewing experience.
If you’d like to save money, you can join the app during football season and cancel during the off-season.
If you have a better internet connection than we do, perhaps a Kayo Sports subscription might be perfect for your sports-fanatic family.
